Biographical Information[edit]
Third baseman Fred Landers played college ball at the schools noted above and graduated in 2019 with a general studies degree. He continued his playing career in the independent leagues and hit .307/.368/.371 in 18 games between the Alpine Cowboys and White Sands Pupfish in 2019. In 2020, he had 5 at-bats for the Joliet Slammers of the City of Champions Cup.
Landers began his coaching career soon after graduating and returned to the College of Lake County as an assistant coach in 2020-2021.
The Toronto Blue Jays hired Landers in 2022 to be a hitting coach with the DSL Blue Jays. He moved to the FCL Blue Jays in the same role in 2023-2024.
