Biographical Information[edit]

Freddery Arias was a relief pitcher for the New York Yankees Dominican Summer League (DSL) teams from 2012-2015. Arias had a 11-7 record with 16 saves and an ERA of 2.67 during these years.

According to his LinkedIn page[1], Arias began his coaching career in 2016 as a pitching coach assistant for one of the DSL teams. However, another source shows he spent most of the season with one of the Yankees Gulf Coast League teams.[2] In 2017, he may have served as a pitching coach for the DSL Marlins, but this could not be confirmed. He was not announced as a coach at the beginning of the year. Arias was a pitching coach for the DSL Marlins in 2018-2019 and was scheduled to return there in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season.

In 2022 Arias joined the Pittsburgh Pirates organization as a pitching coach for the DSL Pirates Black squad. This connection appeared to only last one season as the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos in the Mexican League announced on March 3, 2023 that Arias would be their pitching coach. Aproximately six weeks later (April 21st), Arias was "discharged" and he rejoined the Pirates as a DSL Pirates Black pitching coach once again.

The Art of Pitching (AOP) organization hired Arias in 2024 to serve as their Pitching Performance Coordinator.[3]
