Biographical Information[edit]
Fred Walters played part of the 1945 season for the Boston Red Sox. He managed the Birmingham Barons in 1948 and can be seen in the team photograph.[1]
Walters caught a 65 yard TD pass for the winning score when Mississippi State University upset Army in a 1935 football game. He also played and caught a touchdown pass in the 1936 Orange Bowl, where Mississippi State lost to Duquesne University
