Fred Evans
Fred Evans played for the Waterloo Microbes of the Iowa State League in 1906. He went 12-14 as a pitcher and batted .232, according to the limited statistics available. On June 26th, he hit catcher Herbert Whitney of the Burlington Pathfinders in the head with a pitch, fracturing his skull. Whitney died from his injuries.
