Biographical Information[edit]

Fred Decker played in the 1963 College World Series while at Western Michigan University.

Decker was a coach at Portage Central High School in 1966-1967, then was assistant coach at Western Michigan from 1968-1975. From 1976 to 2004, he was Western Michigan's head coach, recording 791 wins during that span. Decker was elected to the Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame in 2023 [1].
