Biographical Information[edit]
Fred Buckingham was formerly thought to be Edward Taylor Buckingham, but SABR research [1] revealed that they are different people. Fred was a Yale student when he pitched in the majors and had also been pitching for the Washington Shamrocks. He pitched three innings for the 1895 Senators. He was the same age (19) as teammate and fellow pitcher Carlton Molesworth, who went on to a long career as a minor league manager.
