Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Fred Barnes played in the minor leagues from 1894 to 1901 and again in 1909. In 1895, he was 34-8 with 40 complete games and four shutouts in 44 games for the Lincoln Treeplanters to lead the Western Association in wins; two years later, he was 19-17 with 29 complete games and a 2.18 ERA for the Milwaukee Brewers.
He managed the Fond du Lac Giants in 1909, being replaced by Tom O'Hara partway through the campaign.
