Frank van Heijst has pitched in the Hoofdklasse.

Van Heijst debuted with the Amsterdam Pirates in 2007, allowing two runs in two innings. He gave up five hits and two runs in two innings in 2008, going 0-1. In the 2009 Hoofdklasse season, Frank was 3-0 with a 2.5% ERA and lost his lone playoff game. He had finished 11th in the league in ERA, between Gregory Gustina and Duko Jansen.

After 14 games in 2010, he had a 2.03 ERA, winning him a spot in the first Hoofdklasse All-Star Game.
