Biographical Information[edit]

Frank Wilson was an American League umpire in 1921 and 1922, then moved to the National League where he worked starting that same year until shortly before his death in 1928. He worked his last game on June 3rd and died a week later from complications from an appendicitis operation.

Before joining the American League, he had worked in the International League in 1919 and the Western League in 1920. His career overlapped that of namesake outfielder Frank Wilson who played in the majors between 1924 and 1928.
