"Todd is recognized as the star left-hander in the New England League. During the season just passed he stacked up against the Baltimores and Clevelands, holding the champions down in good shape, while he simply made monkeys of the Cleveland batsmen. . . As a batsman he stood 15th on the League roster . . ." - from the Sporting Life correspondent in Pawtucket, October 23, 1897
Frank Todd pitched four games for the 1898 Louisville Colonels. In the minors, he spent several years at Pawtucket.
