Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Tepedino was in the majors for eight years, mostly as a first baseman and pinch-hitter. When not in the majors Tepedino was in the minors from 1965 to 1975, including six seasons in the International League.
With the Atlanta Braves in 1973 he hit .304 in 74 games. Teammate Hank Aaron, at age 39, hit .301.
His uncles Frank A. Tepedino and John Tepedino were minor league infielders.
After leaving baseball, Frank Tepedino served on the New York City Fire Department along with several members of his family. He was present at Ground Zero, at the World Trade Center, on September 11, 2001, but survived the ordeal.
