Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Tabacchi was an American League umpire from 1956 to 1959, working a total of 516 games. He began umpiring in the Inter-State League in 1946, then worked in the International League and the Eastern League. He spent three full seasons in the AL but umpired his last game on June 21st in 1959, being demoted to the American Association in mid-season by league president Joe Cronin. Bob Stewart was called up to replace Tabacchi. He was also one of the umpires who worked the 1956 College World Series.
