Frank Perdue took over the Perdue chicken company from his father and ran it for many years. In the mid-1990s, he donated about $4 million to help build a stadium for the Delmarva Shorebirds. In 2011, he was posthumously inducted into the South Atlantic League Hall of Fame as an executive.
