Biographical Information[edit]
Limb McKenry, standing 6' 4", pitched for the Cincinnati Reds in 1915 and 1916.
The 1915 Reds team had a pitching staff that averaged only 24.6 years old, and McKenry was one of the oldest starters.
The book Hal Chase: the Defiant Life and Turbulent Times of Baseball's Biggest Crook mentions that he and McKenry had been teammates at Cincinnati and in Arizona, and later in California played Sunday ball on a team. At one point, Chase and McKenry went for a car ride in New Mexico and both nearly died when the car overturned.
McKenry pitched several seasons in the Pacific Coast League. This site has a photo of him.
