Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Finnegan played in the New York Yankees (1947-1950) and Boston Braves (1951) minor league systems. He began his career with a .292 batting average, .509 slugging mark, 22 home runs and 15 triples for the Bisbee Yanks in 1947. His average fell to .265 in 1948, to .251, to .223 and to .193 each succeeding season, respectively. He did hit 19 home runs in 1948 and 21 in 1949. He was taken by the Denver Bears of the Braves system in the 1950 Rule V Draft.
Overall, Finnegan hit .254 with 78 home runs.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
