Biographical Information[edit]

"I get a sore arm every year, but I always work it out." - Frank Biscan

Frank Biscan pitched in three non-consecutive seasons for the St. Louis Browns in the 1940s. His career was interrupted by service as a chief petty officer with the Navy in World War II.

His professional career started in 1938 and, in 1940, he went 26-4 with the Lima Pandas. Other minor league stops included Toledo, San Antonio, San Francisco, Memphis, and Charleston. He retired from pro ball in 1955. Other jobs included working as a railroad section hand, playing semipro ball, and working in forestry. He died at age 39, leaving a wife and three children. This site [1] says he died of a heart ailment, and that one of his children became a professional singer.
