Biographical Information

Outfielder Francisco Sosa began his professional career in 2008.

Signed as a free agent in August 2007, he displayed good speed, swiping 26 bases in 114 games for the DSL Rockies between 2008 and 2009. In 2012, with the Tri-City Dust Devils, he stole 21 bags. 2013 was a breakout campaign, as he hit .315/.397/.529 with 20 home runs, 35 doubles, 30 steals, 85 runs and 89 RBI in 127 games for the Asheville Tourists -- though he was over a year older than the average league player. The Rockies let him go after he hit only .248/.322/.389 in 2014.

He was a Northwest League Post-Season All-Star in 2012, a South Atlantic League Mid- and Post-Season All-Star in 2013 and a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2013.
