Biographical Information[edit]
Floyd Economides played in the minor leagues from 1948 to 1951 and from 1954 to 1955. Perhaps his best season was 1949, when he hit .341 with 49 doubles and 182 hits for the McAllen Giants, Lafayette Bulls and Houma Indians. He also hit .336 in 114 games for the Artesia Numexers in 1954.
He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.
