Biographical Information[edit]
Floyd Baker, originally signed by the Boston Red Sox, played in the minor leagues from 1948-1956. He missed from 1950-1952 while serving in the military during the Korean War.
After his playing career, he returned to Albion earning his bachelor's degree in 1969. He served 2 years as an assistant for the Albion baseball team, then was freshman coach at Michigan State University. He was the head coach at Miami Edison Senior High School for five years, then was an assistant at the University of Miami. [1] From 1970-1971, he was the head coach of St. Mary's College of California.
