Biographical Information

Floor Wessels debuted for the Netherlands in the 2019 European Women's Championship. Starting at second base in the opener, she singled off France's Camille Foucher her first time up. She fished the first round at 3 for 10 with 6 walks, 3 runs and 5 RBI while handling nine chances error-free. That tied her for 6th in RBI, tied for 4th in walks, tied for first in double plays turned (3, even with Mélissa Mayeux) and was 7th in assists (5). In the Gold Medal Game, she again played flawless defense but was 0 for 3 against Foucher and Rose Lyard in a loss.
