Three power hitters on the NAS Jacksonville Baseball Team are pictured here. Walter Shin, former All-American lineman at Penn, is hitting .342, left, Pat Colgan, center, minor league catcher with Scranton, Pa., and Louisville, is batting .333, and Bob Leahy, right, ex-Boston College athlete, is a .320 marksman. Under the coaching guidance of Lt. George Earnshaw, former Philadelphia Athletics star, the Jacksonville nine has won 38 games, tied one, and lost 12. Included in their triumphs are victories over Atlanta, Jersey City, and Baltimore. Colgan is the catcher, and first basemen is Ensign Leahy. Shinn and Leahy are fliers.
