Biographical Information[edit]

Fernando Flores has played in the minors and for the Mexican national team.

Flores debuted with the 2011 Piratas de Campeche, hitting .318/.367/.364 in 50 plate appearances as their third-string catcher. He became the starter the next year and posted a .283/.313/.418 batting line with 21 doubles; he only had 14 walks in 95 games. That winter, he batted .242/.277/.290 for the Mayos de Navojoa, backing up Gerardo Andrade. In 2013, he hit .227/.283/.297 for Campeche. He was better in the winter at .308/.371/.425. Had he qualified, he would have been 5th in the Mexican Pacific League in average.

In 2014, he hit .274/.327/.360 for the Piratas. With Navojoa in the winter, he hit .230/.271/.270. He batted .285/.328/.386 with 21 doubles for Campeche in 2015. Backing up Andrade for the 2015-2016 Mayos, he hit .303/.333/.371. He produced at as .294/.336/.437 clip for Campeche during 2016. He then hit .225/.276/.314 for Navojoa in winter ball.

With Campeche in 2017, the veteran hit .286/.314/.398 with 24 doubles. He hit .252/.297/.313 for the Mayos in 2017-2018. In 2018, the Mexican League went to two seasons instead of one. He hit .278/.329/.392 in the spring season and .258/.316/.335 in the fall. He batted .252/.300/.329 for the Mayos that winter.

He then made the Mexican squad for the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier. Backing up César Tapia, he got into one game, going 1 for 4 in a loss to Nicaragua.
