Biographical Information

Felix Marte began his professional career in 2008, when he was 17 years old.

An Atlanta Braves signee, he began his career as an outfielder, but was generally mediocre -- his batting averages, from 2008 to 2013 were, respectively: .146, .243, .269, .269, .250 and .241. He eclipsed 100 total bases only twice and had a .320 on-base percentage through his first six campaigns. He converted to pitching for 2014 and went 0-0 with a 2.19 ERA in 10 relief appearances for the Danville Braves.
