Biographical Information[edit]
Federico Soldi was an Italian softball coach and executive, guiding his team to softball titles and also being in charge of the Italian national softball team. He played baseball briefly in Italy's top level, hitting .245/.315/.265 in 30 games for Bollate in 1970 and .194/.296/.210 in 1971. He had batted .225/.307/.244 with 23 runs and 12 RBI in 56 games; he stole 8 bases in 11 tries and fielding .937 in the outfield. In 2006, he was part of the second class of the Italian Baseball and Softball Hall of Fame, honored for his softball work. His brother Tino Soldi also was inducted for softball; a third Soldi, Roberta Soldi, made it as a softball player in 2013 and is presumably related.
