Biographical Information[edit]

Fariha Nayyab was on the first Pakistani women's national team, at the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup. She started in left and hit third in their opener against South Korea but struck out against Rak-yung Kim and Jung-hee Kang in a mercy rule loss. She scored the first run in team history the next game, singling off Venezuela's Milanyela Cortez and coming around later on a grounder by Zalnab Riaz. She was 2 for 2 with a RBI against Chittari Chandu Priya of India. She was 3-for-11 with a run and a RBI in the Cup, with four putouts, one assist and three errors. She tied for second on the team in runs (only Madiha had more than one), tied Madiha and Humaira Khan for second in hits (one behind Fazila Akhlaq), tied for second in RBI (only Akhlaq had more than one) and tied for second on the team in average. In the 2017 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she was 1 for 4 with a double and three RBI, with three errors in six chances. She not only led Pakistan in RBI but had as many as all her teammates combined. [2]
