Biographical Information

On July 12, 2019, Felix Pena had a superb outing in relief against the Seattle Mariners. It was an emotional occasion for the Angels, as they were playing their first home game since the tragic death of pitcher Tyler Skaggs on July 1st, and they paid tribute to him before the game, while every player wore his uniform number, 45. He took over for opener Taylor Cole in the 3rd inning and went the rest of the way, allowing no hits and just 1 walk while striking out 6. He retired the final batters in order. As Cole had not allowed a hit either, the two were credited with a combined no-hitter in the 13-0 win.
