Biographical Information[edit]

Evgenii Chernozemsky has played in Bulgaria and Germany.

Chernozemsky was one of the top stars in the 2010 European Junior Championship Qualifiers, hitting .450/.598/.650 with 11 runs in 5 games for Bulgaria while also going 1-0 with a 0.96 ERA and playing flawless defense. He was 5th in the event in average, 3rd in ERA, 1st in runs, 6th in slugging, 7th in OBP and tied for second with 13 total bases. In the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers, he went 1-0 with a 3.12 ERA, beating Romania. In the 2013 B-Level European Championship, he was 1-1 with a save and a 3.60 ERA, beating Poland but losing to eventual champion Great Britain; Bulgaria just missed the finale at 3-2. Chernozemsky was also 2 for 6 at the plate.

Having played for the Buffaloes Blagoevgrad in Bulgaria, he moved to Germany's Dortmund Wanderers for 2013. He did not do well in that tougher league, going 0-2 with a 7.20 ERA, 10 hits and 7 walks in 5 innings pitched. At the plate, he was 1 for 10 with two walks and two runs.
