Biographical Information[edit]

Evar Swanson played in the NFL from 1924-1927 before breaking into the major leagues in 1929. He immediately became a regular in 1929. He hit at least .300 in his first four seasons and .298 in his last.

Swanson, who had been a track star in college along with his baseball and football abilities, ran around the bases in 13.3 seconds in 1932, a record which apparently has never been broken.
