Biographical Information[edit]
Esteban Beltré hit one home run in his major league career. It came August 4, 1992 as a member of the Chicago White Sox against the Minnesota Twins; the pitcher was Bill Krueger. Beltré had started the game batting 9th and playing shortstop, a game the White Sox won the slugfest 19-11. In parts of five big league seasons in the early 1990s Esteban batted .237, primarily with the Texas Rangers. He later attempted unsuccessfully to return to the bigs as a pitcher.
