Owned by the Oil Workers Union of the Mexican Republic, Estadio General Heriberto Jara Corona was home to the Petroleros de Poza Rica in 2006 but a dispute between the union and the Petroleros directors led to accusations of breach of contract. The team moved to Cordoba, Veracruz due to the disagreement.
