Ernesto Molinet is the second baseman for La Habana. He hit .283 and slugged .433 in his first five seasons, through 2007-2008. In 2008-2009, his age-24 season, he hit .330/.461/.515 and tied Yoandy Garlobo for 8th in the league with 71 walks. In the playoffs that year, he hit two homers in an inning one game; it was not the first time the feat had been done in the Cuban postseason, though it had not yet been done in the MLB playoffs.
