Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Eric Jaques played in the Chicago Cubs system from 1989 to 1992 after going undrafted. He began his career with the Wytheville Cubs, posting a 1.25 ERA with 11 saves in 28 appearances, striking out 47 in 36 innings. The next year, he had 12 saves, a 3.34 mark and 9.4 K/9 IP ratio between two clubs and in 1991, he had a 3.36 ERA with 4 saves and a declining 6.7 K/9 IP ratio in 50 games with two clubs. He wrapped up his career in 1992 with the Charlotte Knights, posting a 3.53 ERA in 46 games with them.

Overall, Jaques went 16-17 with 27 saves, a 3.08 ERA and a 8.3 K/9 IP ratio in 178 games over four seasons.
