Biographical Information

Eric Bolling was drafted in the 22nd round of the 1984 Amateur Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played in three games for the GCL Pirates that year, going 3 for 11 with a walk, triple, run and 5 RBI. He had 12 chances in the field with one error as a 2B-3B before a torn rotator cuff ended his career.

He later graduated from Duke University and became a commodities trader on the New York Mercantile Exchange. He also later served on their Board of Directors for five years.

He went into television, helping develop CNBC's Fast Money program. He left that network to help launch the Fox Business Network in August, 2007. he served as one of the network's financial analysts and hosted Fox Business Happy Hour, which debuted with the launch of the network on October 15 and ran opposite his old show, Fast Money.

He now appears on Fox Business' parent channel, Fox News, as regular co-host of The Five and as a panelists on the Saturday morning financial show Bulls and Bears. On October 13, 2011 he saved the life of Bob Beckel -- fellow co-host on The Five and Bolling's usual political sparring partner -- by giving him the Heimlich maneuver while the crew were at a restaurant with the Fox News brass following a show.
