Biographical Information[edit]
Eric Arnett was a first-round draftee in 2009.
Arnett was 9-2 with a 1.52 ERA as a high school senior and also hit .425 with 11 homers. He earned 10 letters in 3 sports in high school, playing football (All-State receiver as a senior), basketball (All-District as a junior and senior) and baseball.
Eric was 2-2 with a 6.11 ERA as a freshman at Indiana University. As a sophomore, he improved to 4-5, 5.45. Arnett made major strides as a junior, going 12-2 with a 2.50 ERA and .212 opponent average, setting a school record by going 7-0 in the Big Ten Conference. He was named co-Pitcher of the Year in the Big Ten and was the first pitcher in school history to make All-American (picked as a second-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball).
The Milwaukee Brewers chose Arnett with the 26th pick of the 2009 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Mike Farrell for $1.197 million and made his pro debut with the Helena Brewers on June 24, allowing two hits, a walk and two runs in one rocky inning.
