Biographical information[edit]

Enrique Ramirez is a former minor league baseball relief pitcher who played in the Baltimore Orioles farm system. Signed in 1996, he played in the Dominican Republic in 1997 and 1998. For the 1997 DSL Orioles, he was 2-1 with a 5.35 ERA.

In 1999, he played for the GCL Orioles and Bluefield Orioles, going a combined 0-1 with a 2.81 ERA in 22 relief appearances. He spent 2000 with Bluefield, making 25 relief appearances and going 1-3 with a 4.57 ERA. In 2001, he played for the Delmarva Shorebirds and Frederick Keys, going a combined 8-5 with a 4.64 ERA in 52 games.

Ramirez played for the Keys in 2002, appearing in 32 games and going 3-4 with a 4.04 ERA. He played for the Keys, Bowie Baysox and the independent Nashua Pride in 2003, going 3-3 with a 5.09 ERA in 27 games in affiliated ball and 0-0 with a 1.17 ERA in 15 games with the Pride. In 2005, he was 1-1 with a 3.31 ERA in 9 games for the Macoto Cobras in Taiwan and in 2006, he was 3-6 with 19 saves and a 4.03 ERA in 53 relief appearances for the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League. Ramirez signed with the Chunichi Dragons in 2007, but only played for their team in ni-gun. According to his SABR page, he played in the Dominican Winter League in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, he played for the Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo in Mexico, going 4-5 with 14 saves and a 3.66 ERA in 51 appearances. He last played in 2010, going 0-1 with 2 saves and a 1.69 ERA in 6 appearances for the Broncos de Reynosa.

He once was thought to have been born in 1979, however it was later found out that he was born in 1976.
