Biographical Information[edit]

Elmer Leifer played nine games in the majors, hitting .300 for the Chicago White Sox in the last days of the 1921 season. He only appeared in two games in the field.

Leifer managed the Moose Jaw Millers for part of 1921. In 1922, he was playing for the Little Rock Travelers and slammed into Travis Jackson, injuring Leifer to the point that he could no longer play again. This injury continued to have effects on his health for years and in 1948 he committed suicide.
