Biographical Information[edit]
Elias Kreska has played for the Austrian national team.
He debuted in Austria's top loop in 2021, going 1 for 5 for the Wiener Neustadt Diving Ducks. [1] In the 2021 U18 European Championship, he was 0 for 3 with 4 walks, 2 steals and a run but made errors in both chances in left field. [2] In the 2022 Federation Cup, he was 0 for 3 but pitched two shutout innings. [3] In Austria that year, he batted .150/.320/.150. [4] In the 2022 U18 European Championship, he hit .357/.550/.571 with 6 walks and 7 runs in 6 games, fielding .864. He tied for third with three steals. [5]
In '23, he hit .247/.378/.301 for the Diving Ducks. [6] A late addition to Austria's team for the 2023 European Championship, the teenager debuted against champion Spain, starting at catcher. He struck out against Jorge Balboa his first at-bat and went 0-for-4 for the event, handling seven putouts in the field. [7]
