Biographical Information

Infielder Eiji Hirabayashi began his professional career at age 21 by hitting 1 for 13 for the 1941 Hanshin Tigers. He improved to .181/.244/.229 in '42 then .209/.227/.256 in 1943. That year, he was drafted into the Japanese military and he died in combat in World War II. His career stats were .180/.230/.223 in 80 games.
