Biographical Information

Edwin Russell was a left fielder who played for the Brooklyn Excelsiors from 1858 to 1862. He was born in Britain but moved to New York with his family as a child and was apparently still living with his parents into at least his mid-20's. After his baseball days, he became a hardware goods supplier.
