Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Eduardo Jimenez played in the Mexican League from 1986 to 1991 and from 1993 to 2007. He spent seven seasons with the Saraperos de Saltillo, longer than any other club.
A veritable slugger, Jimenez slashed .317/.461/.685 with 45 home runs, 107 RBI and 108 runs scored in 117 games for Saltillo in 2000 to lead the Mexican League in home runs. The next year he clobbered 27 home runs, and in 2002, he hit .321/.484/.682 with 29 home runs and 86 RBI in just 89 games for Saltillo. He followed that with a 25 homer campaign in 2003.
He hit 351 home runs in his Mexican League career and another 199 in the Mexican Pacific League.
He was elected to the Salon de la Fama in 2020.
