Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Edmundo Roberts was a well-known baseball player in Nicaragua. He played in the 1951 Amateur World Series, the 1953 Amateur World Series (Bronze Medal) and the 1954 Central American and Caribbean Games (leading with six appearances, one ahead of Alejandro Canales). He briefly spent time in the Washington Senators organization after being signed by scouts Joe Cambria and Napoleon Reyes, playing two games for the Elmira Pioneers in 1957.
