Biographical Information[edit]
Edin Beharić played for the Croatian national team several times.
In the 1999 European Championship, Croatia's first European Championship, he started in right field. He was 1 for 14 with four walks and a run, tying Damir Karin for the team lead in walks. He had 3 putouts and one outfield assist with no errors. He also pitched, giving up 6 walks, 5 hits and 8 runs (6 earned) in 3 2/3 IP, going 0-1. In the 2003 European Championship, he was 0 for 4 with a walk and handled four chances error-free, pitching 2/3 of a scoreless inning. He only pitched in the 2005 European Championship, managing a 3.38 ERA despite 8 walks in 5 1/3 innings as he only allowed two hits.
