Biographical Information[edit]

''His finest moment (in 1981) was probably on September 2, 1981 when he singled in the tying run in the ninth inning of that game. He then stole second and then third before scoring the winning run on a sacrifice fly." - from a website listing favorite Braves players from the 1980s

Eddie Miller had seven years in the majors, mostly with the Atlanta Braves. An outfielder, he was in center field more often than right or left. He was also a speedster, being used as a frequent pinch runner, and he stole 23 bases in 1981, in 50 games.

In the minors, he spent three years with the Richmond Braves, and after his major league days he played in Mexico for several seasons.

He was a three-sport athlete at Harry Ells High School, where his time there overlapped with that of Willie McGee.

''Possibly his best game of that season (1979) was on September 6, 1979 against Don Sutton and the Dodgers where he had 3 hits and 3 stolen bases." - from the same website as above, listing favorite Braves players from the 1970s [1]
