Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Eddie Anderson was the fifth player selected in the January 1986 amateur draft, the final edition of the draft, taken by the Milwaukee Brewers out of Georgia Perimeter College. He only had a brief professional career, lasting just two seasons. In 1986, he was with the Helena Brewers of the Pioneer League, where he had no decisions in 18 games, all but one in relief, and posted an ERA of 9.47 in 19 innings. In 1987, he was with the unaffiliated Butte Copper Kings of the ame league. Used as a starter, he pitched 33 innings in 9 games (8 starts), going 1-3, 11.18. That gave him a career ERA of 10.56. A major problem was control, as he gave up 62 hits and as many walks in 52 innings, while striking out 35 batters.
