Biographical Information[edit]

Ed Sukla pitched with the Los Angeles Angels and California Angels from 1964 to 1966, getting 3 victories and 4 saves.

He was two years younger than teammate Dean Chance and one year younger than Jim Fregosi. Both Ed and Paul Schaal were born on March 3, 1943, and both played for the Angels during 1964-66.

In 1962 he was with the Quad City Angels. He was in the Pacific Coast League from 1964 to 1975 and pitched for the Hawaii Islanders in 1964, 1969 and 1970.

After his playing days, he was a long-time scout with the Major League Scouting Bureau. In 2002, he came back to Hawaii with the Bureau when a major league tryout was held there.
