Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Sperber had 59 at-bats for the 1924 Boston Braves, getting 17 hits and also drawing 10 walks. He had a .288 batting average and a .400 slugging percentage on a team whose batting average was .256 and whose slugging percentage was only .303. He came back in 1925, but only had 2 at-bats.
He was nearly 30 when he got to the majors, after having played nearly a decade in the minors. After his major league days, he was in the minors for several more seasons.
