Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Silch played for the 1888 Brooklyn Bridegrooms. His hitting was above average, but he had trouble finding a regular spot in an outfield that included Dave Foutz and Darby O'Brien hitting well.

"He is a centre fielder of great merit and a fair batter." - Sporting Life, April 12, 1890
It was reported that he played for Fort Worth in 1884.
