Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Sicking was an infielder who played five seasons in the major leagues. His professional career lasted seventeen years until 1933.
He was the youngest player in the National League when he came up at age 19 for the Chicago Cubs in 1916. His whole major league career was in the National League, playing for five different teams. He played second, short, and third.
Sicking had an extensive career in the American Association from 1921-1932, hitting over .300 each year from 1924-1931.
He managed the Keokuk Indians for part of 1933.
