Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Sales was the player most-utilized at shortstop by the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 1890. He appeared in 51 games at the position while Tun Berger was in 33 and Sam LaRocque in 31.
Sales was a 29-year-old rookie at the time, having previously played many years in the minors. He would continue to play in the minors after that through at least 1897.
