Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Larkin played college ball five years (1905-1909). On October 2, 1909, he caught both ends of a doubleheader for the Philadelphia Athletics, his only experience in the major leagues.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Service during World War I (BN). He operated a shoe store in Wyalusing, PA from 1919 until it was sold in 1927 and a Ford Dealership from 1919 until his death. A civic leader, he was a member of the school board and the borough council. He died at age 48 at his home in his sleep following a heart attack. Larkin is buried at St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery in Towanda, PA.
